Eric T. Michener has joined the law firm of Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. (“CCJ”). A veteran litigator, Michener will advise the firm’s clients on litigation matters.
Michener received his B.A. in Philosophy from Brigham Young University and his law degree from The University of Virginia. He served as a law clerk for a federal judge in Tennessee before entering private practice as a civil litigator. He spent several years as a criminal prosecutor and most recently served as Assistant Attorney General in Special Prosecutions for Ohio Attorney General Michael DeWine.
“Eric is a high-quality individual who strengthens our team in all matters relating to litigation,” said Robert C. Gorman, Managing Member of CCJ. “He has tried dozens of cases to jury with a more than 90 percent success rate. We look forward not only to his advocacy on behalf of our clients, but also to his presence in our firm and in our community.”
Michener will be headquartered in CCJ’s Wooster office but will work with attorneys and clients in all of CCJ’s offices, which include Medina, Ashland, Millersburg and Mount Vernon.
Michener’s wife Krista is a native of the area and graduated from Triway High School. The couple have five children and will be moving in the near future to Wooster.
