Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Kayla M. Hofmeister has been admitted to the Ohio bar and has joined the firm as an associate in the Wills, Trusts, and Probate practice group. Her admission marks the formal start of her legal career with Critchfield.

Hofmeister previously served as a law clerk with Critchfield, where she supported the Wills, Trusts, and Probate practice group while completing her legal studies. During that time, she developed a strong foundation in estate planning, probate administration, and transactional matters. Her background also includes experience with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Community Development Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, giving her a well-rounded perspective on client advocacy and regulatory issues.

A Medina County native, Hofmeister is deeply rooted in the community she serves. She is dedicated to providing individualized, practical guidance to clients throughout the region and is committed to helping families navigate important personal and financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

“We are excited to welcome Kayla as a licensed attorney in Ohio,” said Amy Demlow, the firm’s Managing Member. “Her dedication, professionalism, and client‑centered approach make her an excellent addition to our estate planning team. We look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make for our clients and our firm.”

Hofmeister will continue her work in Critchfield’s Wills, Trusts, and Probate practice group from Critchfield’s Medina office, where she will serve clients across the firm’s regional offices and contribute to the firm’s long‑standing commitment to providing high‑quality legal services throughout Northeast Ohio.
