Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. is pleased to announce the advancement of Shannon E. Kreuer to Member of the firm, effective January 1, 2026. Shannon’s elevation reflects her exceptional legal skill, steadfast commitment to clients, and meaningful contributions to the firm and the communities it serves.
Shannon joined Critchfield as an associate attorney in the firm’s Litigation and Employment & Labor groups. She focuses her practice on representing and advising employers in employment law and workers’ compensation matters. Her extensive background as a seasoned litigator also enables her to assist clients in defending and prosecuting lawsuits across a broad range of practice areas.
With more than fifteen years of litigation experience—including eight years practicing in New York City and across New York State—Shannon has handled a wide variety of matters, such as workers’ compensation, discrimination, class action wage and hour disputes, breach of contract, personal injury, labor law, and fraud. Her depth of experience and practical approach have made her a trusted advocate for employers and businesses navigating complex legal challenges.

Since making Ohio her home, she has been passionate about using her experience to support clients throughout the region. She also serves on the Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation Emerging Leaders Board, further demonstrating her dedication to community involvement.
Shannon earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College.
