Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. (“CCJ”), has announced it is establishing a law office in Ashland, effective July 1, 2013. This is CCJ’s fifth location, joining offices located in Wooster, Medina, Millersburg and Mount Vernon.

CCJ’s office will be at the current location of the Ashland law firm Harpster, Vanosdall & Findley, LLP (“HVF”) on 60 West 2nd Street. Longtime HVF attorney John A. (Jack) Vanosdall will be joining CCJ and heading the Ashland office along with Patrick E. Noser, a partner at CCJ’s Wooster office who will be relocating his practice to Ashland.

“We have been considering establishing a presence in the Ashland market for several years, and when an opportunity arose to bring Jack Vanosdall onto our team, we felt the time was right,” said Robert C. Gorman, managing member of CCJ. “Jack is a first-class business attorney with a strong client base. We look forward to working with Jack in serving his existing clients and the Ashland County community.”

Vanosdall, who has practiced in Ashland since 1978, said, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join forces with one of the premier law firms in the State of Ohio. I will be able to offer clients a wider array of legal services than ever before. Just as important, I have found that the attorneys at CCJ place the same premium on client services that I do.”

Noser, a native of Lexington, Ohio, joined CCJ’s Wooster office in 2007 after practicing law in Cincinnati for five years. He said, “Although I love what I am doing in Wooster, I could not pass up the opportunity to help CCJ set up shop in Ashland County. Jack and I are already working well together, and I am excited with what the future will bring.”

CCJ has 40 attorneys in its four offices in Wooster, Medina, Millersburg and Mount Vernon. The firm, with a history dating back to the post-Civil War era, offers a sophisticated array of legal services. Principal areas of practice include general corporate/business, real estate, banking, estate planning and administration, litigation, labor and employment, intellectual property and oil and gas.
