Facilities Coordinator – Wooster

Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd. seeks a Facilities Coordinator who is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, general cleaning, and other skilled maintenance tasks as assigned.  Coordinates planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance work and large projects.  Duties may fall into a variety of trades.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage information on all Critchfield buildings, including preventive maintenance schedules, vendor contracts, invoices, etc.
  • Conduct routine inspections, basic maintenance, and repairs as needed (ex., Elevators, HVAC, etc.).
  • Paint, remodel, and refurbish areas as needed.  If outside the scope of experience, coordinate with vendors to accomplish the project.  This includes coordinating quotes.
  • Oversee service providers for all locations (ex., Trash removal, cleaning, etc.)
  • Coordinate with various vendors to maintain the exterior of all buildings.
  • Assist with the security system for all locations.
  • Maintain a maintenance help desk service for all Critchfield employees.
  • Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
  • Work discreetly behind the scenes in a professional, service-oriented setting.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

General Requirements

  • Professional, “can-do” attitude. Ability to adapt to changing needs and the capacity to collaborate effectively.
  • A combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required breadth of knowledge, skills, and abilities. (ex. General handyman skills, appliance repair, painting, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

  • Prior related office experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in general repair and maintenance.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and lifting heavy objects (50 lbs. +).
