We are pleased to announce that attorney Ann Salek, of the firm’s Medina office, has been named as a “Women of Our Community” honoree by The Medina County Women’s Journal.
Ann is known throughout Medina County as an excellent attorney and practitioner in her area of legal specialty—Elder Law. In fact, Ann is one of only 30 attorneys in the State of Ohio who is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) through the National Elder Law Foundation. In addition, she has also earned certification as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the Ohio State Bar Association. Ann consistently collaborates with other Elder Law practitioners in the region to share ideas and participate in solutions for the benefit of our area seniors and their families.
“Ann has demonstrated leadership both within and without the firm. She has taken the lead in championing other CCJ attorneys—taking the time to teach and elevate the status of her team in the workplace,” said Amy Demlow, the firm’s managing member. “She also works with and mentors younger attorneys and law students, providing guidance and practical advice on how to become better counselors. She is also quick to share her enthusiasm for the opportunities CCJ provides, serving as something of a ‘brand ambassador’ for the firm.”
As a firm we are very proud of Ann’s commitment to Medina and its citizens. She is a sought-after leader in the community, serving on the Medina Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, and as an advisory board member for both Catholic Charities of Medina, Akron Community Foundation, and Hospice of Western Reserve. She has also served as the Medina County Estate Planning Council’s President and is a Leadership Medina County graduate.
