Overview
Matthew Long is Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department and focuses his practice on commercial real estate development and leasing, family business succession planning, private family trust company formation and governance, construction law, and corporate law. He advises clients with nationwide real estate and investment portfolios, construction businesses, and institutional property owners operating campuses and multi‑office facilities.
In addition to his legal practice, Matt serves as a Director of Apple Creek Banking Company and has chaired and served as a director of numerous nonprofit, corporate, and private family trust companies. His board experience includes oversight of governance, risk management, audit, and compliance in regulated and capital‑intensive industries.
Matt is a sixth‑generation Wooster resident, where he resides with his wife, Lynette, and their son, Henry.
