Matt Long Appointed to Apple Creek Banking Co. Board

Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston is pleased to announce that attorney Matthew A. Long has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Apple Creek Banking Co., an independent community bank serving Wayne, Stark, Summit, and surrounding counties since 1904. In addition to his board role, Matt will serve on the bank’s Audit Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, contributing his experience in governance, risk oversight, and long‑range organizational planning.

Matt is Chair of Critchfield’s Real Estate Department and advises clients nationwide on commercial real estate development, corporate governance, and family business succession planning. His board and committee experience includes oversight of governance, risk management, audit, and compliance in regulated and capital‑intensive industries.

In accepting the appointment, Matt emphasized the vital role of community banking in strengthening local economies.
